Some snow pictures

Here are some snow pics of me, Sarah, and Tadia. Here you can see a great example of Sarah's love for neon things. We took a lot of the photos through my pair of brown-tinted sunglasses, too, so they look kind of magical...

Lighten-Up

So I feel like I haven't blogged in a while. Hello Blog. Hello blog-readers.

First week back into dancing, and, though I wasn't looking forward to going back (too much pressure and worries and other things to do), I've been really enjoying this week. I've been taking the dance school in a different mental way. I've decided to just have fun and learn. I know! Sounds so simple and... DUH! But I really think we were all taking ourselves a little too seriously, being a little too hard on ourselves before... when the fact is, we're all here to L-E-A-R-N, not to show each other how naturally talented we already are or aren't.

So today was a breakdancing day. And it was SO FUN! We did a 'cypher' (a freestyle circle) a few times during the class, and to my surprise, when it became my turn, I wasn't scared at all to go in and try a few moves. I even got one move down pretty well!

Anyway, I think we've all lightened up and changed our attitudes on dancing this semester, and we're all having more fun. It's so easy sometimes to do the opposite... to expect to be good at something the first time you get it. But with dancing, that makes you tense, and then you actually do the moves way worse than if you were relaxed.

Anyway, that's just a little tidbit of how it's going around here. I'm becoming a B-girl. Oh yeah. Baddabing.

some winter pictures...

Here are a few pictures of this winter that I thought I'd share with you. There's an extreme lack of them these days, as I'm getting a bit tired of our weak, cheap little digital, but hey... you work with what you have!

Here's one of my honey, Dave and I in our bus. Our cozy bus, (other than when it freezes and we find out that we don't have a very insulated floor, because a water tank bursts and the entire floor turns into an ice rink and won't melt for 3 days until I chipped it off with a spatula.)

Here's me trying on my dress for my sister's wedding... I didn't bring our camera to her wedding, but if you click on "Da Koch Blog" in my menu, there's one on my sister Laura's site.

My friend Sarah and I (another trailer dweller... actually, she's our next-door neighbour.) Sarah makes life pretty fun and colourful around here, and not just because her favourite colour is neon. We're opposites in many ways (as my favourite colours are more neutrally, muted tones), but we get along splendidly nonetheless.

The snow made everything around here look beautiful. Especially with the sun.

That's all for now.
