Home Time

For the last few days, Dave and I have been moving forward on the purchase of our very first home. I had no idea how significant it would feel. I feel like I've been craving our own space, and that this is moment will be a big red dot on the map of our lives. The most surprising thing is, when I should be stressed and worried and apprehensive, I feel total peace. That's it... flatline. I feel good about this one.
I'm not going to go on too long right now about it all, because I'm a bit over-tired at the moment and not very eloquent or even comprehensive, but here are some pictures of the 'showhome' of where we might live (if all goes well). Now, alllllll the built-in cabinetry, wallcolouring, etc, does not come with it... it's a blank-canvas product we receive, but it sure gives you a lot of good ideas!

So... signing out, tired but excited out of my brain!

All right... it's been a hard few weeks looking for places to live in what suddenly seems to be exlusive Langley! Hey, I thought it was out in the Valley, far far from downtown prices, but Dave is pretty convinced that we could get better places for the same prices downtown. (This means that Dave has been secretly and rebelliously looking at downtown loft suites in Craigslist again. No, Dave, it's Langley we are moving to!)

Anyway, since it's been a bit of a hectic week, and even though I know people have stopped checking my blog because of my shameful neglecting of this page, WHAT the heck, I'm going to do a love-list, as suggested by my friend Meg Fowler on her amazing blog. So here goes:

THINGS I LOVE

a moment alone in the dark, looking at stars, whispering secrets

finally getting a hard, takes-all-your-energy dance move

happy, road-trip, summery songs

when my hip cracks

the caramel on top of a caramel frappuccino

lush summer flowers

colours that match (ie. your shirt and that wall, that house and your mug, etc)

lying in the sun in a bikini reading at the beach

good lighting

a good friend calling to hang out

snuggling!

extremely high clouds that look like the pattern of sand on a beach

a facial at the spa... aaaaaah

siting on the prow of a boat and flying over the water... (wait, that sounds familiar... CHEESY!)

getting a good roll of film back from developing

smooth lake water

Dave telling me I did good

new gooders in my inbox

multiple people hearing the same thing from God

staring at the fire

poking the fire

getting face-roasted by the fire

my nephew's blue eyes

watching toddlers hug each other

dreams that are telling me something

a good cry

a good cry with a friend

willow trees

a dozing with a sleeping baby in your arms

making the decision to go travel somewhere

when Dave gives me a little P.D.A (Public Displays of Affection... he's REALLY shy about that)
